On Saturday, 11 June 2022, a hands-on handicraft workshop was held at the Community Café ’Ohkina-Ki’ in Shikido Danchi, Oita City.

Two people participated it this time. One of them made a camisole for children. The other made a small little bag to put a message in.

An elderly woman who made a camisole for a child was sewing happily on her sewing machine, saying, “I hope my grandchildren will wear it”.
Those who made small bags made cute little bags, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

She started sewing these small bags because she wanted to make one that was big enough to hold a folded piece of paper with a message written on it. When it was finished, it turned out to be a cute little bag that could also be used as a lip balm container after the message was read 💛.
these were very small pieces, so she sewed them by hand with great care.
