The long skirt made from kimonos of ‘Meisen’

At an event at the end of last year, a handmade artist purchased a my made Meisen skirt. We are very grateful. Kimono remaking involves a lot of processes. The kimono is unravelled, then washed, the fabric is aligned, and from there it is tailored.

It is more time-consuming than using commercially available fabrics, but the unique patterns of the kimono have an irreplaceable charm. Also, many kimonos are made of high-quality silk. Clothing and accessories can be made from fabrics with an elegant texture.
