Deadline of Final Tax Return

15 March is a day with two DEADLINES for me.
One is that it is the last day of the fishing season for the seaweed ‘Kurome’ from the Saganoseki Peninsula.
The other one is that it is the deadline for submitting tax returns and financial statements.
For the past few years, 15 March has not been a peaceful day in my mind.
However, I managed to get through it again this year.

Now, the other day, I had a popular Canadian chai and a late white citron tart dessert. These were served at an event in Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, by the limited-time-only Restaurant Umisora in Nogama Island, Kamiamakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture. The owner of this ‘Dining Place Umisora’ lives in Canada from spring to autumn, and only in winter the restaurant is run from an old house on there. They opened in March 2021.

The taste of the late white citron tart I had was a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness, with a The bitterness characteristic of the late citron is subtly added to the tart. But it was a deeply flavoured tart, which tied the overall taste together.
The Canadian wild berries in syrup were also delicious.
