Many Japanese people have an image of Mongolia as a country where time passes slowly on the steppes. I had that image too.
In June 2010, I got a chance to watch a herd of gazelles running at full speed across the Bayantsagaan Plain in eastern Mongolia. I uploaded a video I took at that time.
